All About Me ( and Think Tank!)

Think Tank is an inquiry-based learning class at Maury Elementary in Washington, DC that is based in Habits of Mind and Multiple Intelligence theory. Students explore many STEM concepts while using their "Smarts" and building their problem solving and thinking skills. Students in Preschool all the way through 5th grade take part in Think Tank. In addition to running the Think Tank program, I am the STEM Coordinator at Maury, facilitating school-wide science and engineering units. I began teaching in 2002 and live with my dog, husband and two children in Washington,DC! I am the Chairperson of the National Center on Teacher Quality's Teacher Advisory Group and an NGSS @ NSTA Curator. I am a Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Math Teacher Finalist and the recipient of the Pre-University Award from IEEE. I love learning, teaching and exploring... can you tell?
